Planters Development Bank and the Chinese Filipino Business Club (CFBC) teamed up to promote awareness of technology-based business solutions, SME-focused financial services and best business practices.
More than 200 entrepreneurs turned out to listen to Plantersbank executives at the Micro and SME Financing Seminar in Binondo, Manila.
CFBC president George S. Lee said the half-day seminar aimed to inform entrepreneurs of ways to build competitive businesses and bring them into the global arena. Like Plantersbank, the CFBC advocates entrepreneurship and works to raise public awareness about the significant contribution of SMEs and microentrepreneurs in growing the economy.
Plantersbank loan and business solutions specialists headed by EVP Herminio Famatigan Jr. were on hand to discuss development finance, cash management and information technology services available to the SME community. Presentations offered ways for companies to become more acceptable to prospective lenders, emphasizing professional management, good reporting systems and sufficient collateral.
