Business Line Magazine wins 2005 Gold Quill Award

Plantersbank Business Line, the bank-published quarterly magazine for Small and Medium Entrepreneurs, won its second Gold Quill Award of Merit in the publications division during the Philippine leg of the awards held in March by the International Association of Business Communicators.

The Gold Quill Awards program, an international hallmark of excellence in business communication, is the new recognized benchmark in corporate communications and the public relations practice in the country.

Accepting the Gold Quill in behalf of the bank is Mr. Roberto F. Banaag, vice president for corporate communications and Business Line managing co-editors Ned P. Liuag and Olive B. Ramirez. Presenting the award is IABC director Bong Osorio.

“We are truly proud of this second award and share the honor with the country’s small and medium enterprises,” Mr. Banaag said. “Business Line is one step in bringing SMEs to the forefront of the national agenda.”

Published continuously for Plantersbank B Club checking account holders and SME loan clients since February 2003, Plantersbank Business Line has been promoting a uniquely 100% pro-SME view and is a key medium for networking and community building among entrepreneurs in the country.
