Plantersbank was named Most Active Countryside Partner for Small and Medium Enterprise and Micro Financing by the Land Bank of the Philippines for its outstanding contributions to economic growth under the state-run institution’s Countryside Loan Fund programs.

During the same ceremonies in Manila, Sarangani-based milkfish fry producer Finfish Hatcheries, Inc., a Plantersbank client, received a special citation for its role in stimulating growth and development linkages in the countryside.

“This is both an honor and inspiration for us,” according to Plantersbank president Maria Flordelis F. Aguenza, adding that Plantersbank is determined to intensify its efforts in helping create new jobs, better opportunities and improved incomes in the countryside.

In 2005, Plantersbank earned the distinction of joining the CLF Hall of Fame for its exemplary role in pursuit of countryside development.
