Plantersbank backs Philippine Service Code for Consumer Banking
Plantersbank joins five associations representing the Philippine financial community that are calling for the voluntary adoption of the country’s first charter of standards for best banking practices.
The Service Code of Consumer Banking in the Philippines is acknowledged by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as the living expression of the commitment to promote world class standards and strengthen the relationship between banks and consumers.
“Plantersbank has always stood for best practices,” said Plantersbank First Vice President Roberto F. Banaag. “I am proud to say Plantersbank is one of the first to support this industry-wide effort.” Mr. Banaag also heads the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines, the group which played the central role in drafting the Service Code.
Subscription to the Service Code is voluntary. Signatories of the Code pledge to provide financial services on the basis of the principles of Customer-First, Integrity, Professionalism, Sense of Urgency, Transparency, Reliability and Accountability.
Plantersbank reaffirms its commitment to provide fast, efficient and reliable services to customers and to take into account the Filipino sensibility. Plantersbank pledges to continuously strive to attain international best practices in service delivery in accordance with the Service Code.
