Plantersbank CEO chairs Asia-Pacific Development Bankers meet

Ambassador Jesus P. Tambunting, chairman and CEO of Planters Development Bank, chairs the 29th annual meeting of the Association of Development Finance Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) which is seeking a regional consensus on small and medium enterprise promotion and environmental-sensitive lending policy.

CEOs representing 62 state-owned and private development banks in 32 countries from Central Asia to the Pacific will meet in the Sri Lanka capital from May 8 to 11 on the theme “DFIs: Are they Sustainable? Opportunities in Sustainable Investments.”

Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake will address the main conference on May 10. The meeting is expected to announce a consensus on regional issues in development and investment policy.
