Planters Development Bank announced its support to the Kilusang Tulong Barya para sa Eskwela project, a month-long campaign initiated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to raise funds for public elementary schools in the country.
“We give our whole heart and mind support for this worthy initiative of the Bangko Sentral,” according to Plantersbank president and chief operating officer Maria Flordelis F. Aguenza. “Plantersbank recognizes the importance of education plays in nurturing the country’s future entrepreneurs.”
The public is invited to drop spare coins and bills in designated coin banks in all Plantersbank branches, participating groceries and supermarkets, and schools. Check donations are also welcome in favor of Tulong Barya Para sa Eskwela.
The campaign which starts July 3 is supported by leading bank associations, retailers groups and the Department of Education.
