Plantersbank Sustains Lead in SME Finance

Planters Development Bank, the country’s largest private development bank, sustained its top performance under the Japan Bank for International Cooperation facilities for Small and Medium-Scale Industries. This marks Plantersbank’s third citation as most outstanding participating financial institution under the program, having been previously awarded in 2003 and 2001.

The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), the institution giving the award, identified Plantersbank as one of the banking sector’s “strong links to development.” Elevated to the DBP Hall of Fame as a five-time outstanding performer under the Industrial Guarantee Loan Fund program, Plantersbank has also earned the Award of the Decade from DBP for its significant contributions under IGLF.
